White and denim never goes out of style – Denim Fever #1

This is one post I enjoyed creating.
You know how we say denim never goes out of style?… The white shirt or top never goes out of style either. I’m going to let my pictures do the talking. But first, may I present to you our white and blue gang 💁

If you follow me on instagram, you’ve probably already seen something like this.
Okay… let’s start from the very beginning — Denim.

Denim is a sturdy cotton warp-faced textile in which the weft passes under two or more warp threads. This twill weaving produces a diagonal ribbing that distinguishes it from cotton duck. Originating in India, it was known as Dungaree, before coming to be known as denim.

Now to the focus here — Blue Jeans 👖
Who remembers Lana Del Rey’s Blue Jeans? Talk about love till the end of time.

did you know that blue jeans were invented by Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss? (yeah that Levi’s guy)

It’s something that almost everyone has. It’s something that can be styled in a million ways… it goes with just about anything. It’s on the Fashion Hall of Versatility.
The white shirt would be one of my favorites too. I mean… if you’re a law student, you don’t really have a choice ey? The white shirt would continue to be in style.

My friends and I decided to style these wardrobe essentials with a touch of individuality in each of our looks. So I present to you four different ways of styling this white and blue trend, all of which are easy to recreate. And who knows…. You may join the clique 😉

Let’s start with me. I went basic with the look. Just a short-sleeved top and trousers. Although I love the little details on the shirt. I did a knot-out which didn’t really go well, but that didn’t stop my day.

The Off-shoulder
Meet Genevieve. You can catch her @gaptooth_girl 😏
Genevieve styled a pair of graphic or patchwork jeans with an off-shoulder top and ankle booties.

Go High-waisted
Meet Ewa.
Ewa went down a different lane with a high-waisted trouser and a long-sleeved bodycon top. A pair of kicks and she was good to go. Her eye makeup was more of a statement than others.

  1. I love that you did a post with your friends! I think I’d had have a hard time with mine, since some of them are camera shy. I love the white shirt + denim combo. It’s so classic, but it looks so good together! And can I just say that you are absolutely stunning? You look so effortlessly elegant, and I love that. Your pose in the first picture especially–wow! You literally look like a model.

    1. I don’t think my friends are camera shy. But I’m the one that takes the pictures most times. I try to make them feel comfortable and make sure people aren’t around to be staring at us as we take pictures.
Give it a try with your friends.
Thanks love for the compliment. I may just try out that modelling stuff too.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Well you should get one.. But that’s a personal decision too. I believe it’s very versatile and much needed. It can be dressed down or you can go glam with statement pieces.
      Thanks a lot love.
